Make Yourself Healthy Again
There is a new emphasis on health in the United States a new movement called MAHA= Make America Healthy Again. This emphasis is being led by the new Secretary of Health, Robert Kennedy Jr. He intends to change the way Americans think about food, diet, and health, making lasting improvements in the health systems in America. "The future of public health is about to change forever," Kennedy’s team wrote in an email announcing his confirmation. This is a turning point for our nation. With RFK Jr. at the helm, the battle for accountability and real health reform is just getting started." A new commission has also been started by President Trump, who signed an executive order establishing the Make America Healthy Again Commission, which will also be led by Kennedy.
Here are just a few of the initiatives of MAHA:
Fixing the food system - Policies to increase access to real, whole foods, counter corporate lobbying, and make nutrition a cornerstone of healthcare.
Focus on food quality and safety.
Focus on promoting healthier food choices - Reforms in food policy, such as updating dietary guidelines to reflect the importance of whole foods, limiting the marketing of unhealthy foods to children, and supporting local and sustainable food systems.
Promoting cleaner food standards and a shift toward sustainable - whole food-based dietary guidelines, aim to address chronic diseases at their roots.
The MAHA Commission aims to expand health coverage and treatment options for beneficial lifestyle changes and disease prevention.
These are all great things to be improved or worked on and I support them all, I say it's about time that the American government starts to care about the health of all Americans over profit and money.
For far too long Americans have entrusted our health to the government. And so far the government has facilitated all our major health problems in America. The Standard American Diet has slowly been killing us.
Even if all of these, and other initiatives are met we should not trust that anyone other than ourselves will or can make us healthier. Our health is our responsibility! This is why I created and promote "MYHA", Make Yourself Healthy Again.
MYHA promotes:
